Tipping a flower delivery driver is not required, but it is a kind gesture and always appreciated, especially on busy holidays and in bad weather.

Who tips, the sender or the person receiving the flowers?

Usually the sender. Many florists let you add a tip for the driver when you order online, so the person receiving the flowers does not have to do anything. If you receive flowers and want to thank the driver, a tip at the door is welcome but never expected.

When does a tip make the most sense?

  • Around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, the busiest delivery days of the year.
  • In snow, ice or heavy rain.
  • For large or heavy pieces, such as plants and standing sprays.
  • For deliveries that take extra time, like a hospital, an office building or a delivery timed to a service.

How much should you tip?

There is no set rule, and any amount is a thank you. Many people tip a few dollars for an everyday delivery and a little more for a large order, a holiday or bad weather.

Is a tip expected for wedding or funeral flowers?

Not usually. For a wedding, couples sometimes thank the delivery and setup team at the end of the day. For funeral flowers, the sender may add a tip when ordering, but no one expects it.

On our website, you can add a tip for the driver when you place your order.
