We looked at 10,528 orders from 2016 to 2026: May outsells the holidays, most flowers are sent on short notice, and one in five goes to Acton.
By Concord Flower Shop, Concord, Massachusetts

We went through every order placed on our website between March 2016 and August 2026, 10,528 of them, to see when Concord sends flowers, how far ahead people order and where the flowers go. Here is what we found, and what it means if you are sending flowers here.
May is our biggest month, by far
In a typical year, May brings 22% of all our deliveries. That is more than November and December combined, at 16%. February comes second, at 13%, almost all of it the week of Valentine's Day.

The busiest day of the year is the Saturday before Mother's Day
It was our busiest delivery day in ten of the last eleven years. In 2020 it was the Friday. From 2017 to 2025, the five days leading up to Mother's Day brought almost three times as many orders as the ten days before Christmas: 1,473 against 502.
If you are sending flowers for Mother's Day, order early in the week.
Most flowers are sent on short notice
A quarter of our orders (26%) are for the same day, and a third (34%) are for the next day. Only 6% are placed a week or more ahead. Most same-day orders come in between 8 a.m. and noon, ahead of our 1pm same-day cutoff.
Friday and Saturday are delivery days
Four in ten deliveries go out on a Friday (19%) or a Saturday (21%).
Where the flowers go
Nearly two thirds of our deliveries stay in Concord (63%). Acton receives one in five (20%), and Carlisle and Lincoln about 4% each. Boxborough, Sudbury, Maynard, Littleton, Bedford, Stow and Lexington each receive less than 2%. Almost every order is delivered: only 2% are picked up at the shop.
What the cards say
Nearly every order (99.7%) carries a card message, and the typical one is nine words long. More than one in five wishes someone a happy birthday.
The decade's favorite
Perk Me Up is the arrangement Concord sent most: 774 times since 2016. Simply White comes next, at 388.
One in three orders tips the driver
Since we added the option in November 2020, 31% of orders have included a tip for the person who delivers them.
